Just got back from Washington D.C. and we had the best time. My wife accompanied me for a few days at the nations capitol for Kimberly and Bill’s engagement photos. They are making the trip to Orlando for their destination wedding in June ’08 but they live just outside of D.C and got engaged at the steps of the Capitol Building. (I know, way cool!) They absolutely had to have their engagement photos done there, so who am I to turn down a trip to D.C.
We got off the plane at about 10am and the air temp was a warm 49 degrees. On day one they gave us a fantastic driving tour of the area. We got out many times over about a 3 hour period to shoot at some really awesome places doing fun shots while staying away from the touristy stuff. We timed it so that we would finish at the Capitol Building right at sunset.
Days two and three my brother drove in and met up with us to see some sites and visit a few of the museums. It was an amazing trip and I am so thankful to Kimberly and Bill for the great time we had hanging out with them! They were a blast and I am very excited to get to spend their wedding day with them in June.
I loved this waterfall.
Very cool rocks. I love the random geometry in the photo. And the light is sooo good.
One of my favorites. The texture of the wall and the emotion of Kimberly and Bill.
Silhouette of the two of them with the Lincoln Memorial.
On the steps of the capitol and my favorite. The reason we flew all this way. The setting sun created that yummy orange glow.
The sun just can't set when I have a camera in my hand without a sunset shot.
