Kim and Jose's Engagement session

Kim and Jose spent the weekend on Cocoa Beach to get a little relaxation in before their wedding and to hook up with me to watch the sun rise. So, I drove out to the beach on Sunday morning and I clicked off a few while they played around in the surf and sand. Kim said they absolutely wanted to get really wet and have a whole lot of fun. I know I got them really wet (see below) and she emailed me as soon as they got home to tell me what a great time they had. I will let you be the judge but I consider it all around success. We will see them again in May at Isleworth for their wedding.

Waiting for the sun to show itself.

Ahh, there it is.

A nice portrait before we found the water.

They were just laughing and smiling the whole time.

Except when they were kissing...then they were smiling on the inside.

This one is so timeless and romantic.

Splash! By the way, I too am knee deep in water holding a Nikon D3 a foot above the surf. Anything to get the shot!!

Alexis and John's Wedding

A few days ago I got to shoot the intimate wedding of Alexis and John at the Grand Cypress. It was such a romantic event and their photos were really important to them so they allocated a nice chunk of time so that we could casually wander around the property together. I always try to let my couples just be themselves and not coach too much. Alexis and John were so into each other I hardly had to say a thing. There were several times that I think they totally forgot I was even there. They have been together for a very long time and now they are finally husband and wife. I am so happy they chose me to capture all of their emotions and special memories.

It is so hard to show with just one picture what we capture during an emotional ceremony, so I thought I would try this...

A split second before their first kiss. I just loved the emotion on her face, the way they are holding hands and the way he is touching her face. You just can't stage this kind of emotion.

There were so many incredible shots to choose from but I think this one is my personal favorite.

I've been to the Grand Cypress many times and I've never seen these hammocks before. I pointed them out and they were so cool to agree to use them. I think Alexis said Ooooooo can we really?!? It was lots of fun!

And I will finish with a nice relaxed portrait.

Kali and Joe's Engagement Session

Kali and Joe made the trip all the way to Orlando for the weekend just to hang out with me. (I feel so special.) I am really happy they did because we got to spend some time at Disney's Boardwalk getting to know each other better as well as grab some rocking good engagement photos. It was a little cool and breezy last night but it turned out to be such a great evening. They loosened up right away and we all had a blast. It was so wonderful to see them again!

They were so cute together!

Jodi and Maurizio's Disney Wedding

As most of you know, we are annual pass holders to Disney World and we spend quite a bit of time out there with our two year old daughter Emily. It is always exciting to share the Disney excitement with others and Jodi and Maurizio are REALLY HUGE Disney fans. Soooo....a special Disney wedding was a must!! You will remember them from their engagement session in the fountain at Disney's Celebration a few months ago. Once again, they were so wonderful to be around and to work with. We were with them for over 10 hours and we had so much fun that the day went by way too fast. All of a sudden it was all over and I wished we could have spent more time together.

We started at the Grande Lakes Ritz Carlton / J.W. Marriott for getting ready shots and shoot around the property, then we went over to EPCOT for their ceremony. After shooting at some of their favorite locations there (and dodging several downpours) we partied at their reception at the Living Seas. They got so lucky with the rain. It would pour while we were getting from point A to point B then would stop for 5 minutes so we could shoot. Then it would rain again on the way to another location. We could have done more without the rain but we really got some incredible shots despite the weather. I am so happy for them.

One last story and then on to their images. One of their very first dates was to EPCOT and to watch the fireworks there. So they, of course, had a fireworks party to finish off the evening. You could see how overwhelmed with emotion, excitement and happiness they were while watching their favorite fireworks show for the first time as husband and wife. Thank you Jodi and Maurizio for sharing your special day with me!! It was such a joy to spend it with you and your family!!

And here's some of their photos. I decided to change the look of the blog images a little. Enjoy!

Here is a shot that I absolutely love from inside the Ritz Carleton.

And another...

Jodi looked spectacular and so relaxed.

And her bridesmaids, who are all single. Hmmmm.... 4 gorgeous future mike briggs brides?!?!?!

Maurizio lookin' cool.

Dodgin' raindrops. What a gentleman!!

Living Seas VIP room. Truly one of my favorites of all time. So unique!!! Very happy to be back.

For those of you not familiar with it. There are all these windows that look into the huge tank.

Look, (for you hidden Mickey fanatics) hidden Mickey's in the bubbles on the cake. I know so many people who will get a kick out of this.

Sea turtles are sooo cool.

And we will finish with just a couple of the tons of my favorite firework shots.

Slideshow music is 'Everything' by Michael Buble.
